UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna talks about her country's trade with India

During the tenure of Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid al Qasimi as Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, India-UAE trade has seen a dramatic increase.
In 2009, Nearly 10 per cent of all commodities the UAE imported were from India and more than 14 per cent of all its exports were to India. Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi symbolises the dynamism of the UAE's youth in leading their young nation to sustained economic prosperity. In November 2004, she became UAE's Minister of Economy, the first woman in the history of her country to assume a cabinet position. In February 2008, she became the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade.
Shaikha Lubna, who figures in Forbes' list of the world's most powerful women, travels extensively to explore new areas of economic partnerships with different countries of the world. In an interview with Global India Newswire, she talks about UAE-India economic relations.
